Greg brings a refreshingly new perspective to landscape paintings.
Painting in a variety of mediums, predominantly in pastels and acrylics he is passionate with the "hands on" soft pastel painting technique which gives fine subtleties of transition in the depth of tone he looks for.
"When people see my work I would like them to feel that they are actually part of the painting. I try to help build a connection with people so they can be drawn into or have an affinity with the location and scene depicted in my work."
From an early age he has been involved in the great outdoors as his leisure pursuits in cycling, hill walking and climbing have taken him all around Scotland and Europe.
He has also spent many years in the outdoors scene volunteering with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme as an expedition Assessor and latterly as a team member with Tayside Mountain Rescue.
He's frequently been in and forms part of "the picture" bothying or camping out on the hill, watching sunrises, sunsets, stormy and wintery weather. Closely observing the changes that take place across the landscape in such short time lapses and then works to find ways to recreate the vistas he'd seen onto canvas.
