I grew up in a small East Ayrshire mining village until heading off to Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, where I was naturally drawn to Printed Textile design, in which I completed my degree.
After leaving college I returned to Ayrshire, re-trained and have been working in Accounts and raising my family since. During this time I also exhibited in locally in the Save the Children exhibition in Rozelle House and Eglington Open Art Exhibition.
Over the last few months I have been fortunate enough to return to my first love of painting and lucky enough to meet and be involved with Open Studios Ayrshire which I will be taking part in this April.
I enjoy working in various mediums for example, oils, gouache, pencil and also enjoy photography. Most of my current work is in oils and is inspired by the detail and patterns created by nature.
