Living in the heart of the Scottish Borders, Lynne's work includes detailed botanical/natural history painting and landscape, inspired by the close up patterns, forms and vivid colours of nature. Stylistic influences include medieval paintings, the Pre-Raphaelites and the decorative arts, with an abiding attraction for the embellished surface. Lynne works in watercolour, acrylics and a range of other media, and is currently enjoying acrylic on canvas. Commissioning clients include publishing houses, editorial groups, design companies, local authorities and private individuals, at home and abroad.
She has ten years experience of tutoring her own art classes in the Borders and seven years experience of being a member of a retail cooperative. Originals, prints and cards of her work are available from her website.
