biography: A new life, and a new home, in West Lothian inspire Artist Yvonne Hutchinson to develop fresh new work.
Yvonne works as an artist exhibiting in Art Galleries in the UK, an active member of the Network Artists in Northumberland, Northern Print Studio, Dumfries and Galloway Fine Art Society and, The Society of Scottish Artists. Available for 1 & 2 day workshops in watercolour painting or print making – Interested? Contact the Artist
A special interest is Textile Prints of animals, mainly cows and sheep on felt, which have a unique quality and texture. Original work also combines mixed media and collage, linking the depicted animals with the landscape, using symbolic forms and patterns reminiscent of graphic mind maps.
Yvonne also makes paintings on boxed canvas of cows and sheep taking inspiration from animals in the rural environment. Landscape paintings are acrylic and oil on canvas and with pigmented layers and textured surfaces and draw their inspiration from the Scottish Borders and Northern fells.
