Born Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Formative education and training in Aberdeen.
Further studies in London and Brighton concentrating on life study, sculpture, architectural aesthetics, art history, museum studies. Specialist art historical studies centred on, but not exclusive to, the major art institutions in Amsterdam, Ghent, Paris and Edinburgh

I run Regent Gallery & Studio in Weston-super-Mare where I am artist in residence, specialising in painting in oils, digital photography, fine-prints & cards, inspired by Scottish & West Country subjects - architecture, sculptural objects and colour.
